Kenya.

At the beginning of the summer I visited my brother, Greg, who at the time was living and working in Nairobi. It was only a week long trip, but just a few days over there can really shake your core. One of the things that I have noticed multiple times when being in a country full of poverty is the love expressed by those very people. We went to a small village under the Ethiopian boarder called Turbi. They welcomed us right away with tea, A GOAT, and a place to stay. They were so incredibly hospitable and generous to us (complete strangers) when they really didn't have much themselves. The rich joy of these people who live so simply is inspiring to me. This is a picture of one of the "village ladies" that were taking care of us. They were all funny and sweet, but this photograph of this particular younger woman I simply love. Beautiful inside and out.

My first post, here it is. I believe that life should be seen through "rose colored glass". And when I look through my lens, its impossible not to capture the beauty from the original Creator. So here is what I see through my rose lens (teehee). And to kick of this blog it seems appropriate to use one of my first and favorite photographs that I took looking out of The Bridge of Sighs(Venice 07). Im a cheeseball I know. But I would love feedback from you all, I hope to post something every week!
